Usually they contain chlorine bleach or sodium hypochlorite, which take away the dull areas but break apart wooden fibers, making it difficult for stains and sealers to penetrate into the wood. Our Wood Brightener is unique in that it contains a safe formula that ensures restoration of the wood surface as well as penetration of later stains, paint, or sealers.
- EASY TO APPLY: Make sure that you pre-test the area to be cleaned to ensure compatibility. We recommend diluting this product with water using a 1:1 ratio. When diluting, always add the product to water to avoid any splashback of the alkaline solution. Once diluted, apply the solution to the area to be cleaned using a brush, roller, or garden sprayer, allowing it to soak for 5-10 minutes. Rinse in the direction of the wood grain with a garden hose or power washer at 500 to 1200 psi.
