A mass air flow sensor, also known as a MAF sensor, is an important component in modern automotive engines. It measures the amount of air entering the engine, allowing the engine control module (ECM) to adjust the fuel delivery and optimize the air/fuel ratio for maximum performance and fuel efficiency.
