For your consideration is this vintage planter compote, a beautiful addition to any room. Seller believes this piece to have been produced by Stanford Pottery, Inc. of Sebring, Ohio. The exact shape was shown in their 1958 and 1960 catalogs (only catalogs seller was able to find online) though not in this color pallet. They did produce two-tone planters and frequently used the satin black finish. Additionally the white clay is a characteristic of Ohio potteries produced during that time. The piece has a square base and it features three-wedge dry feet on the bottom. The black satin finish on the exterior and teal green interior give it an art deco style, while the white clay adds a touch of elegance.
