《歷史筆記》係高華教授的遺作。1300頁，分二卷。第一編「革命、內戰與民族主義」分論國民黨共產黨兩黨1949年前各自的歷史。作為內戰勝利方的中共是本章的論述重點，所選文章不僅反映其革命奪權歷程，還映射出1949年後政治實踐的某些雛形。第二編「斷裂與延續」主要論及毛澤東時代，內容涵蓋了多個歷史事件。毛澤東與林彪內爭堪稱毛時代最具戲劇化的事件。它固然以毛的獲勝告終，可「夕陽無限好，只是近黃昏」，個人崇拜神話的謝幕就此徐徐開啟。本章最後一篇文章就集中闡釋了毛林之爭。第三編《「從『大破』走向『大立』」：文革中的「新生事物」》為一篇未刊稿。高華教授生前承擔了香港中文大學中國文化研究所《中華人民共和國史》第七卷的寫作任務。他已列出該卷寫作綱要，惜乎天不假年，只完成了十餘萬字的文稿。本書另附上高華教授的整章規劃與觀點，希望借此推動對波詭雲譎的文革史研究。第四編《讀書有感》包含多篇書評，論及對象既有風雲人物，也有平頭百姓，既有追隨國民黨政權遷台的作家，也有大陸人所皆知的左翼文人。本章通過對他們回憶的評議展現出多角度的時代變遷與個體感受。 Read more
