The prophetic mandate is part of the gifts and ministries given by the Lord for the church. However, it is one of the most misunderstood and abused ministries in Christianity today. People everywhere label themselves as prophets to mislead gullible believers. Some so-called prophets in the name of “thus sayeth the Lord,” have destroyed families, abused women, stolen properties, deceived people, and even violated human dignity.
