Carefully detailed in high quality resin, these "Foo Dog" sculptures are reproduced from authentic Chinese originals. Despite the name they have gained in the West, these statues actually represent guardian lions and were traditionally placed on either side of an entranceway for protection and good fortune. Always appearing in pairs, the male lion clutches a terrestrial orb to symbolize his power while his matching mate holds a playful cub in a gesture of nurturing love.
