Pure Silk Scarf Handwoven in Vietnam- Unique

A gorgeous lime green pure silk scarf of hand made and hand woven Vietnamese silk. The fabric is hand woven in Vietnam on a wooden loom (hence no label). Vietnamese hand made silk is made in villages where the silk worms are raised and the silk is spun, dyed and woven in a traditional community. Wooden looms are traditionally not more than about 88cm wide because they need to be manageable for human arms - this scarf is 75cm wide and approximately 170 cm long. Each end of the piece is finished with handmade fringing. Please see the photos. Being handmade the fabric is not uniform and the variations are part of the joy of the skilled work. The scarf is stunning and versatile- wear it in the winter to brighten up a sweater and with jeans and a white shirt or t-shirt in summer - the light fabric breathes and indeed is worn in very hot and humid weather in Vietnam.
