The Flushmount 11x40 Sweeter Heater is safe, energy efficient, indestructible, and reliable. This is an infrared radiant heater, intended to heat the animal underneath. Unless measuring heat with a radiant heat gun, a thermometer will only measure the heat that is released from the animal. It's not a space heater, nor does it get hot like one. Designed to mount flush to a wall or ceiling, approximately 6-20 inches over the animals to be warmed. There are no hot spots, develops a uniform heat pattern, and has a 3-year warranty. The surface temperature of the lens will range from a safe 160-180 degrees (F) and will not burn your animals. It is designed to warm the animal, not the environment and is fully adjustable to maintain the ideal comfort level for your animals. For additional safety measures, the Sweeter Heater has an internal snap action thermal control to insure heaters turns off automatically when heat is not allowed to escape. The 11x40 model has up to 440 square inches of soft uniform infrared heat and if using for brooding chicks, we suggest 50-75 chicks will fit comfortably (also dependent upon environmental factors).
