12” x 18” x 5 mil (per side) heat activated thermal laminating pouches are high clarity after adhesive is heat activated and are commonly referred to as Large Menu, Double Letter and Tabloid/ledger size. The clear glossy finish protects and enhances colors. 5 mil thickness is one of the more popular medium weight laminating pouches for rigidity, protection and compatible with nearly every thermal pouch laminator on the market. Note: Industry standard specification for 5 mil laminating pouches is 5 mil on each flap for a total of 10 mil added to your paper sheet card. 1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch (metric: 25 microns). The industry calls these pouches, yet they are sealed on only one edge instead of three (like a folder, but with 3/32” flat seal for the fold).
