To commemorate the 1996 release of the Carroll Ballard-directed now classic family drama "Fly Away Home" (with Jeff Daniels and Anna Paquin) Columbia Pictures reportedly comissioned the manufacturing of just 4 dozen of this Promo-only, not commercially available, backpacks with the "Fly Away Home" logo screenprinted on the pouch pocket. These grey nylon backbags were gifted to members of entertainment press who attended the August 1996 press day for the film. After an exhaustive search throughout the internet, this appears to be the only backpack to survive the past 26 years.
