The popularity of Universal's 1936 'Flash Gordon' serial led to two successful sequels, 'Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars' (1938) and 'Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe' (1940). In the latter, Flash's rocketship, originally the 'Mars Wing' from the 1930 sci-fi musical 'Just Imagine', was updated with a nose cannon and portholes. Fantastic Plastic's 1:72 'Flash Gordon Rocketship' model, released in 2014, was mastered by Ed Holt and cast by BLAP! Models, using a purported original filming miniature from eBay. Unlike the classic Herb Deeks kit from 30 years prior, this kit features a hollow interior with a detailed cockpit and vacuformed clear plastic windows. Models & Model Kits are typically supplied unpainted and unassembled.
