It is designed to last up to 6 months which is twice as long as most other whole home filters! With a micron rating of less than 1, it will capture the smallest contaminants for both municipal and well water supplies. Standard filters capture larger sediment around 30 microns. As a result, this filter may fill more quickly when used on well water with sediment. It's simply removing more sediment from your home water supply.
