I'm a fan of vintage items, they've got so much charm, but sometimes they don't fit into my home. Rarely do we use fine china and silver with three little ones around. I've got a few silver-plated trays, you can snag them cheap at thrift stores. I use them for parties, but wanted to incorporate them into my decor. I was pleasantly surprised, it turned out great! I was worried the new chalkboard with the old silver might look cheesy, but it's fantastic. The paint stuck perfectly due to the tray's detail.
