Blurt It Out! is a sentence completion game designed to help therapists assess the psychological processes of the children they see in psychotherapy. Blurt it Out affords the therapist and child a powerful way of generating insight, developing goals, and discovering solutions to problems. Children will find this game to be a pleasurable and fun way of learning about themselves as they are given the opportunity to express their true thoughts and feelings in a non-threatening way. Blurt It Out! is appropriate for children between the ages of six to early adolescence (ages 12 to 14). However, with younger children the therapist will likely need to read the sentence stems for the child. The therapist can play along or facilitate the game for two or more children. The game is designed to take about 15 to 20 minutes to play. The game is designed for 2 to 4 players.
