For your patients with a boxer's fracture, the Med Spec Boxer Splint easily adjusts to the desired position and offers superior comfort and support to enhance compliance. Adjustable design offers malleable palmar and dorsal aluminum stays are easily bent to immobilize the patient's metacarpophalangeal (MP) joints in the desired degree of flexion and the interphalangeal (IP) joints fully extended. Comfort and support offers an internal soft plastic clamshell that protects and supports the fourth and fifth metacarpals without restricting the flexion of the MP joints. The polypropylene felt liner provides superb padding and allows moisture to rapidlly evaporate away from the skin. Ease of Application The metacarpal closure strap features our patented V-Strap Retention System that prevents the strap from sliding out o fthe plastic buckle when applying or removing the splint. In addition, the finger and wrist closure straps are made with a soft elastic material that may easily be adjusted as swelling increases or subsides. Great for the boxer injury.
