Through research, I connected with my resourceful great-grandmother, who shared stories about our family's roots in South Carolina.In my exploration of family history, I discovered remarkable stories about Moses, the Freedman; Clara, the property owner in 1890; Anthony, valued at $1000; and Isaac, who lost his lakefront property during the 1912 riot.
