First printing of the second edition, hardcover copy of African Rifles & Cartridges by John Taylor (Gun Room Press, 1977). Richly illustrated by E. Stanley Smith and with photographs. Collectible vintage big game hunting book, showcasing the wide variety of guns and ammunition used in the hunting of numerous trophy animals. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and slight shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and small tears. Boards straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Bottom fore corner of text block bumped and with some mild creases. Previous owner’s inscription (crossed out) on fep, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
